Since 2022, the morel mushrooms seasons have been dry for us. Were we too early, too late, or maybe the weather wasn’t right? – it’s always hard to pinpoint an exact reason. Morels move season to season as well, making them hard to track.
Seaton Creek Campground, “Little Mac”, and The Manistee River Trail
Rivers, creeks, stars, coyotes, bacon wrapped brats, PokémonGo and good fucking vibes. Last Seaton visit of ‘23 included hiking out to “Little Mac”, a large wooden suspension bridge that unites the Manistee River Trail with the North Country Trail.
Sulak & Gleason’s Landing
A visit to two new sites that looked promising, Sulak Campground and Gleason’s Landing! Both offered me and Moose access to the river, though by very different means.
